Blue light may cause glare and visual fatigue. Moreover, the damage caused by blue light is cumulative, meaning that nothing will happen in a short period of time, but it will cause irreversible damage after long-term use.
Blue light has a shorter wavelength and higher energy, so it has a higher probability of scattering when encountering small particles in the air, which may cause glare.
The shorter wavelength of blue light causes it to focus in front of the retina. When the proportion of blue light in visible light is too high, it may exacerbate the color difference distance and cause blurred vision, requiring more eye adjustment to see clearly, causing visual fatigue.
The Visual Health Laboratory of the Chinese Institute of Standardization conducted a study on the relationship between LED blue light and visual fatigue in 600 healthy adults. The study showed that, on the basis of not causing color vision deviation in the human eye, the visual fatigue level of the test group shielded by 15% blue light was about 21% lower than that of the unshielded group.
